On Heavenly Hundred Heroes Day, students of UzhNU laid flowers and lit candles at the Memorial to Fighters for Ukraine’s Freedom and Independence

On February 20, 2019, on Heavenly Hundred Heroes Day, when Ukrainians remember the deeds of the participants of the Revolution of Dignity and commemorate the Heavenly Hundred heroes, Uzhhorod National University students laid flowers at the Memorial to the Fighters for Ukraine’s Freedom and Independence and lit the candles.

This day of remembrance was approved by the decree of the President of Ukraine to perpetuate the great human, civil and national courage, dedication, and strength of spirit, which changed the course of Ukraine’s history. This is the day to honor the Heavenly Hundred heroes, who gave their lives during the Revolution of Dignity defending the ideals of democracy, human rights, freedoms, and Ukraine’s European future.
