Open Day at UzhNU
On May 13, 2019, an Open Day was held by Uzhhorod National University for the school leavers, teachers and headmasters of the secondary schools of Mukachevo. The schedule of the event included the meeting with the leadership of UzhNU, the presentation of the university, visits to museums, acquaintance with faculties and structural units of the university.
"We organized similar meetings for the school leavers of Uzhhorod schools for three consecutive years, and this year, such event is organized for the school leavers of Mukachevo. More than 250 pupils, teachers, and school headmasters have come here today. The purpose is to familiarize our youth with the opportunities provided by Uzhhorod National University. They will see the university premises, meet the university lecturers, learn more about the faculties. Moreover, the pupils will learn more about the broad leisure opportunities," said the Rector of UzhNU Volodymyr Smolanka about the event.
Vice-rector Ihor Korol acquainted the guests with the university structure, its faculties and courses offered to the applicants in 2019. He also told about students’ leisure activities and international exchange programmes.
After the meeting at the rector's office, the guests visited different faculties of UzhNU and Ukrainian-Hungarian Institute of UzhNU.
