Students of UzhNU were advised how to manage finances
The first training on financial literacy took place at UzhNU as part of the worldwide action «Global money week». The goal of the event was to teach youth how to understand money.
The organizers of the event were Career Center of UzhNU, the Department of Finance and Banking, NGO "Omega-defense". A moderator and a trainer was the director of the Career Center of Uzhhorod National University, PhD, Associate Professor of the Department of Finance and Banking of UzhNU Tetiana Buturlakina. She didn’t only share with students useful information about the basics of personal finance management, but also told about the traditions of annual global event taking place in the second week of March.
The goal is to teach children and youth about money, saving, creating livelihoods, gaining employment and becoming an entrepreneur through fun and interactive activities worldwide. It is important to create awareness, challenge out of date financial policies and give young people the tools and inspiration they need to shape their own future.
