The Faculty of Economics is 55
Economists of UzhNU solemnly celebrated the 55th anniversary of the foundation of their faculty. The founders of the faculty, its alumni, teachers and students gathered for the festive meeting. The first vice-rector of UzhNU Oleksandr Slyvka and the vice-rector for academic affairs and research Oleksandr Rohach also came to congratulate the faculty on the occasion.
The Faculty of Economics was established in 1963 with the correspondence training in the following specialisms: "industrial planning", "economics and planning of the material and technical supply", "agricultural planning", "finance and credit" and "accounting".
Oleksandr Slyvka presented the Doctor of Historical Sciences, the founder of the Faculty of Economics of UzhNU Ivan Meshko, as well as Vira Vartsaba, Anatoliy Kalnytsky, Maksym Yatsko and Kateryna Sochka with honorary diplomas and thanked all the teachers and students of the Faculty of Economics on behalf of the Rector of UzhNU.
The present dean of the Faculty of Economics Vitaliy Serzhanov congratulated the staff on the anniversary, and the first dean of the faculty, Ivan Meshko told about the history of the founding of the faculty. Ex-dean of the Faculty of Economics, Doctor of Economics, Corresponding Member of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine, Vasyl Miklovda also joined the event to congratulate his colleagues. At the end of the meeting, the dean Vitaliy Serzhanov presented the teachers and students with honorary diplomas.
