The Faculty of History and International Relations became a co-organizer of the international conference in Krakow
On March 28-29, 2019, the delegation of the Faculty of History and International Relations including Associate Professor Vitaliy Andreiko, Associate Professor Nadia Keretsman, Associate Professor Oksana Svezhentseva, Associate Professor Volodymyr Hutsul and Associate Professor Hanna Melehanych participated in an international conference in Krakow "Transborder Cooperation in Europe: Experience of Poland and Ukraine".
The Faculty of History and International Relations and the Department of International Studies and Public Communications, in particular, co-organized the event which was important for enhancing cooperation with one of the leading Polish educational institutions - the Ignatianum University in Krakow. Associate Professor, PhD in History Vitaliy Andreiko made a report on "Building Sustainable System of Foreign Economic Relations between the Czech Republic and the Slovak Republic: Experience for Ukraine".
The head of the International Relations Department, Associate Professor, PhD in History Oksana Svezhentseva spoke on the impact of cross-border cooperation on academic mobility and the development of educational and scientific cooperation between Ukraine and Poland. Associate Professor, PhD in Political Science Hanna Melehanych dwelt on the strategic role of local self-government bodies for the development of cross-border cooperation in Ukraine. The deputy dean and the acting head of the Department of Archeology, Ethnology and Culturology, PhD in History Nadia Keretsman and Associate Professor, PhD in History Volodymyr Hutsul focused on the prospects of Polish-Ukrainian cooperation in the field of intellectual tourism in Transcarpathia.
Let us remind you that a bilateral cooperation agreement between Uzhhorod National University and Ignatianum University in Krakow was signed and the first joint international conference in Ukraine was held a year ago. As part of the agreement, four students of the specialism "International Relations" have already completed their semester long training at the partner university of Poland.
At present, joint master's programme for our students is actively discussed. On the basis of agreed curricula, students will be able to obtain education at two universities simultaneously, and receive Ukrainian and Polish diplomas.
