UzhNU authoroties conducted a working meeting with foreign students
On Friday, February 22, 2019, the Rector of UzhNU Volodymyr Smolanka, and the Vice-rector Myroslava Lendel had a meeting with foreign students of the Medical Faculty, Medical Faculty #2 and the Faculty of Dentistry of UzhNU. The Deputy Chief of the Department for Combating Crimes Related to Trafficking in Persons of the General DIrectorate of the National Police in the Transcarpathian Region Mykhailo Hustey and the Patrol Police company commander Anatoliy Vasyliovych joined the meeting.
The managers of the university regularly hold meetings with foreign students to familiarize them with the legislation of Ukraine, the internal regulations of SHEI "UzhNU", customs and traditions of the region.
The Vice-rector for Academic Affairs, Research and International Relations Myroslava Lendel pointed out: "During such meetings, we analyze the most problematic issues, in particular, concerning the adaptation of foreigners in our city. We answer foreign students’ questions and also invite the officials of the law enforcement authorities to explain the rules of staying of foreign citizens in Ukraine. In particular, we discuss the issues of coexistence and cooperation with the local community, probable conflict situations that may arise and mechanisms of their prevention. The benefit of these meetings is that students can directly ask questions that they are concerned about and get answers."
