UzhNU celebrated the Day of Peace
According to the decision of the United Nations Organization, September 21st is celebrated as the Day of Peace in the whole world. Uzhhorod National University actively participated in the celebration of the holiday, its faculties held thematic events, lectures and round tables for students. The Day of Peace is especially relevant today in the period of the war with the Russian aggressor in Ukraine.
A lecture with a multimedia presentation for first-year students took place at the Faculty of History and International Relations and was dedicated to the Day of Peace. It was organized by the Department of International Studies and Public Communications and the Center for Sustainable Development.
Candidate of political sciences, assistant professor Hanna Melehanych, introduced students to the history of the holiday and the traditions associated with it. "The purpose of the event is to tell students about this important day. Classes are interactive, I want students to really understand and be interested in this important topic. "
During the meeting, the students watched the documentary "The Day after Peace", and had a lively discussion.
