Through the collaboration with the European Network EuroFir  and within the framework of several international projects, our staff workers had the opportunity to receive training and internship at the best European universities.

Within the cooperation with "Scientific Research and Educational Center of Molecular Microbiology and Immunology mucous membranes' network EuroFir, V. Bati attended the training course of the Summer School Monitoring of Diet for Full Impact Assessment" held at the University of TUBITAK, within the frameworks of the FP 7 “TDS – exposure” project from 22 to 27 June, 2014 in Istanbul, Turkey.

This course provided the participants with the opportunity to get acquainted the full diet research, ensuring food safety and identification of potential risks to human health, as well as designing and planning of nutrition research, sample preparation and analysis, quality control in all aspects of theoretical and practical training. Learned the basic skills of using the LanguaL and EFSA Foodex software for the description of the tested foods and their components.C:\Users\Дом\Pictures\foto pracivnuku LABA\10811225_981374948544516_928905226_n.jpg

V. Bati attended 12th International Postgraduate Course on the Production and Use of Food Composition Data in Nutrition, held from 13 to 25 October 2013 in Wageningen, the Netherlands.

Creating a food database is a pressing and important issue for Ukraine. In the food industry, access to food database opens up new opportunities for the selection of food components for the analysis of available data, creating new recipes that will have a positive effect on production of foods. Also, it is very important for Ukrainian consumers to have access to information about the quality and composition of foods. Especially important is the content of allergens, sugar, GMOs, information about shelf life of products, etc. To ensure consumer access to such information scientists have to make a huge effort on creation of database of food in Ukraine. Our Center was the first to initiate the Food Database Creation in Ukraine.C:\Users\Дом\Pictures\Denmark\P8280047.JPG

Thanks to a COST BacFoodNet grant, Bati took a training course on Research Methods of biofilms in Foods, held in Denmark, Copenhagen at the Technical University on 23-30 August 2013. Received a diploma.

This course was very instrumental for our team, having trained us how to apply the new knowledge in further research. We can learn the specifics of the formation of microbial colonies and forming biofilms on the surfaces of edible plants. In particular, we will be able to explore the hands-on formation of biofilms by microorganisms that have been isolated within the BaSeFood project, and apply confocal and fluorescence microscopy, and the analytical method of FISH (fluorescent in-situ hybridization).

Participated in CAPINFOOD workshops on 25-29 August 2014, in Budapest, Hungary.

State-of-the art equipment, highly qualified staff, and cooperation with Cassovia Life Sciences (Slovak association of research institutes) unable us to perform top-level scientific work, which is reflected in our candidate and doctoral theses in biological sciences.
