Director of the Institute: Candidate of Historical Sciences, Professor Ivan Artomov

І. Artyomov was born on September 15, 1944 in the village of Mykhailo – Zavodske of the Apostolivsky District, Dnipropetrovsk Region.

From 1961 to 1970 he had been working as a metal-worker and then a driver of the Kryvy Rih Transport Depot No. 18From 1963 to 1966 he served in the army, and in the period from 1966 to 1970 worked as a driver at AB-18.

He studied by correspondence from 1968 to 1972 in Dnepropetrovsk State University, after which he worked as a teacher, director of secondary school № 2 Krivoy Rog to 1977.

In the period from 1977 to 1992 he occupied high posts in executive bodies of Dnipropetrovsk and Transcarpathian Regions.

From 1992 to 2001 he is Director General of the Joint Venture “Chop-Terminal” and Transcarpathian Transport “Autoport-Chop”. About the importance of his object for the frontier infrastructure testifies the fact, that it was put into operation with the participation of Presidents of Ukraine and Hungary Leonid Kuchma and Arpad Gyonts as well as the representatives of the Ministries of both countries.2001-2002, - CEO Group TD "Rose Transcarpathia."

In 2001 – 2002 he is Director General of the Trade House “Rose of the Transcarpathia”.

From 2002 to 2005 he is manager of affairs of the executive apparatus – Deputy Head of the Transcarpathian Regional Council.

Since 2005 he is Director of the Scholarly and Educational Institute of Eurointegration Research of Transcarpatian State University.

Since December 2012 he is appointed Acting Rector of Transcarpathian State University by the Ministry of Education and Science, Youth and Sports of Ukraine.

Scientific contributions:

In 2007-2011 under the supervision of I. Artyomov the Institute was a prize-winner at the competitions of scholarly projects announced by the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine for fulfilling state financed research work.

The result of these projects was the launch of a series of publications "European Integration: Ukrainian Dimension". During this period, scientists of the Institute together with scientists from the Institute of the leading universities of Ukraine have written and published 18 study manuals. About the high level of the scholarly works of the Institute shows that:

• 11 of these study manuals received the Stamp of the Ministry of Education and Science, Youth and Sports of Ukraine “Recommended as a Study Manual for the Students of Higher Educational Institutions;
• Several editions, prepared by I. Artyomov, became the laureates of the All-Ukrainian Competition “University Book - 2010” (in the nomination “The Best Educational Edition in Social Sciences and the Humanities”).
• At the international scientific exhibition “Education and Career – 2011” the developments of the Institute together with other University educational editions were honored with a gold medal in the nomination “The Edition of Text-books and Study Manuals of the New Generation for the Profile Higher Educational Institutions”
• For the developments and editions of study manuals of the new generation the Scholarly and Educational Institute of Eurointegration Research received Gratitude from the Administration of President of Ukraine and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine.

The main directions of scientific activities related to research of I.V.Artyomov based on geostrategic orientation of Ukraine, regional integration processes of the implementation of the European state priorities in a multi-vector foreign policy, integration of higher education and science of Ukraine in the common European educational space.
